Pacific Records Management is sponsoring this 2024 Legal Technology Update, at which SVALA Board Member and Wilke Fleury LLP IT Director, Karen Marshall, and Wilke Fleury's Executive Director, Kellie Narayan will share a substantive update and insights into the latest and greatest in legal tech. As law firm directors, Karen and Kellie have overseen numerous technology upgrades. They regularly review emerging technologies and participate in small-to-midsize firm roundtable discussions. They are both members of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), and Karen and Kellie both attended the national ILTA conference (#ILTACON2024) in Nashville, Tennessee in August 2024.

At SVALA's September luncheon, Karen and Kellie will share insights into the universe of technologies used by firms in Sacramento and beyond - from DMS, RMS, accounting, intake, CRM, conflicts, calendaring, A.I and beyond!! We will also discuss important topics around cyber liability, AI use policies, and emerging technologies. One of the best things you can do for your firm is be informed and bring information back to your firm to which they may not otherwise have access.

We are excited to welcome Kellie Narayan to present on the topic of Overseeing the Unhealed Employee at the October 16, 2024 educational lunch meeting of the Sacramento Valley Association of Legal Administrators (SVALA). Kellie is Executive Director at Wilke Fleury LLP in Sacramento and has worked in finance, human resources and operations at law firms for 25+ years. She is a national ALA and SVALA member and served on the board of the SVALA, including service as President in 2018. She is also a talented and engaging public speaker.

Kellie's October 16 presentation will synthesize a 12-series article series she wrote examining the characteristics of Unhealed Employees and their impact on the work environment [https://theunhealedee.wpenginepowered.com/?page_id=12]. Kellie notes that Unhealed Employees are defined by the ways past experiences rule and inform behavior. Healthy employees are not perfect, but they are not ruled by their wounds. Kellie has conducted significant research on this subject and will share the experience and solutions she has learned over the course of her career in law firms.
